Kansas City Veterinary Care, conveniently located in Waldo, serves Greater Kansas City. We provide veterinary care to cats and dogs, as well as many different types of exotic animals, including birds, reptiles, ferrets and rabbits.

Our extensively trained doctors and staff continually strive to provide the best possible care for your pets and are extremely dedicated to the well-being of our patients.

Our Services

We offer a wide array of veterinary services, including wellness examinations, diagnostics, medical treatments, a variety of surgical procedures (including spaying, neutering, dental and orthopedic surgeries), dental care and exotic animal pet care. We also offer wellness exams specifically tailored to senior pets.

Boarding

Our boarding facility offers your pet a clean, safe and comfortable place to stay when you are away from home. We offer walks and play times twice daily to keep your pet more active while here. The kennel staff is always alert to potential behavioral or medical problems that could arise while you are away. Any health issues that may arise while your pet is staying with us are promptly forwarded to our on-call veterinary staff. We also offer boarding for animals with chronic health conditions (i.e. diabetes) or special dietary requirements. Due to limited space, reservations are recommended (especially during holiday seasons). Feel free to visit with our kennel staff and take a tour of our facility.

Surgical Procedures

Along with offering routine procedures such as spays and castrations, Kansas City Veterinary Care offers more intricate and complicated surgical procedures in its surgical facility, including:

Exotic Pet Care

Kansas City Veterinary Care is pleased to offer our quality veterinary medical and surgical care for furry, feathered and scaly exotic pets. Our doctors have a special interest in - and have received training for - the care of most exotic pets. We also work closely with area pet stores, exotic rescues and wildlife facilities.

Dental Care

With 80% of pets over the age of two affected by dental disease, routine preventative dental care is essential to overall good health. At Kansas City Veterinary Care we are committed to high quality, proactive dental care. Our doctors have received additional training in many dental procedures, including surgical extractions and root canals.

Routine pet dental procedures include a thorough oral examination, intra-oral digital radiographs, ultrasonic descaling and cleaning, and polishing.

Pet Foods and Prescription Diets

Kansas City Veterinary Care offers a variety of pet foods and prescription diets. We carry specialty foods designed for every pet’s unique needs, allergies or medical conditions, including kidney disease, bladder stones, diabetes and weight loss.

Preventative Healthcare

Without a doubt, the best healthcare for your pet is preventative healthcare, and the most important part of preventative healthcare for pets is the wellness examination. Wellness exams, performed twice a year, are by far the most effective means of maintaining your pet’s health. These exams provide early identification of possible medical problems, therefore making any necessary treatments more effective.Vaccinations have always been an important part of preventative healthcare. With timely and appropriate vaccinations at a routine wellness exam, we can prevent the suffering and discomfort of many illnesses for your pet.
